Magnification
For experimental purposes I thought I would see how high I could magnify my LX-10 within reason on a large conifer tree at the bottom of my garden.

This first image shows the conifer tree at the bottom of my garden.

Seen through the crosshairs of the 8X50 viewfinder:

Through the eyepiece of a 26mm Plössl the image is magnified to the following (note the secondary obstruction):

By magnifying another 10X the image is improved to:

The above image was then magnified by 2X to get the final image.

These pictures show what can be done with terrestrial objects. You should be able to imagine what can be done with planets, globular clusters, nebulae & galaxies etc. The bigger the aperture the higher the magnification available.
